Class Descriptions

  • Align

This practice combines static postures with mindful breathing, with a strong focus on healthy and safe alignment, and finding a balance between strength and flexibility. Level II classes will explore more advanced postures, including inversions, arm balances, and deep backbends.

  • Flow

This Vinyasa class links movement to breath in a flowing sequence. Some yoga experience recommended (Begin or Align I). Level II classes will explore more advanced postures along with faster pacing.

  • Gentle

This practice consists of slow, mindful, and gentle movement. This class is tailored to those with movement limitations. Participants should be able to comfortably get up and down from the floor, unless the class is marked for Chair use.

  • Yoga Nidra*

Draw the awareness inward and explore the deeper layers of Self through this guided conscious relaxation practice. Yoga Nidra is practiced while lying down and is deeply restful.

  • Restore

Melt into gentle yoga postures, using bolsters, blocks, and blankets to support the body in easeful stretching to release tension and quiet the mind. All levels.

  • Yin

Balance the body and mind as you find stillness in floor postures held for 3-5 minutes each. These long holds help "stress" and lengthen the connective tissue around the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, with an added benefit of refreshing the energy channels within the body. All levels.

  • Meditation*

In this class, students will learn to meditate using Paramahansa Yogananda's beginner (“Hong Sau”) technique. Classes will include instruction, preparatory light movement, breath exercises, and group practice time. No experience is necessary.
